Poisonous Frequencies is actually a power trio, although instrumental fun and exaggeration creep into the thrilling energy of their performances. Petr Vrba discovers the possibilities of an electrified trumpet disguised as an electric guitar, and Tomislav Federsel never stops in his search for the world’s most hideous guitar sound while Didi Kern tries to squeeze some exquisite rhythms out of his drums! The trio teamed up with Swiss turntablist Joke Lanz for one recording session and couple of concerts in 2019. The cooperation worked very well and it continues again this year after a two year gap.

Lanz snatched up scattered vinyl, making savage fader cuts with quicksilver resourcefulness, as Procházka forced out primitivist riffs and Vrba graduated from electronic twiddling to jazzed trumpet, suddenly shifting the axis.“
