*** From the woods // Sylvia Bruckner [Konzert]
This concert marks the release of Sylvia Bruckner’s new CD. Playing both zither and piano, she opens a wide field of sounds that move far beyond the familiar image of the instruments. We hear a rich range of emotions and surprising structures. Despite its diversity, however, this music of various tones and non-tones is held together by the power of creative imagination.

*** A Few We Remember // Jonah Parzen-Johnson & Lau Nau [Konzert]

A Few We Remember cycles through moments of knotty ambience, whispered melody,
and innocent tinkering as US baritone saxophonist Jonah Parzen-Johnson and Finnish
sound artist Lau Nau (modular synth/small instruments) come together to improvise
over a collection of narrative scores. Each score represents a specific interaction with a stranger, but this music isn’t about the stories; it’s about how it feels to tell them.

Jonah Parzen-Johnson – Baritone Saxophone
Lau Nau (Laura Naukkarinen) – Modular Synth, Small Instruments, Voice
