Floating Sound Gallery Vienna is a platform to support and promote the creation and delivery of multichannel electroacourstic music and sound art, contributing to the cultural landscape of Vienna and the wider world. Founded by composer and multimedia artist Patrick K.-H. (Anton Iakhontov) in 2008 in Moscow, in 2013 it relocated to Alexandrinsky Theater, St.Petersburg, and in 2022 to Vienna. Its early period was highlighted as “pivotal in engendering sound-art as formal and informal practice in the post-soviet domain” for the international festivals and programs like “SoundArt @ GogolFest” (Kyiv, 2010) and ACOUSMONIUM (St.Petersburg, since 2018) among others. Currently, the Gallery offers several multiphonic music shows a month and several large ACOUSMONIUM festivals in Vienna, Ljubljana, etc.

Supported by Stadt Wien Kultur / Bundesministerium für Wohnen, Kunst, Kultur, Medien und Sport / SKE austromechana / echoraum / Alcôme / LIVEMX / co-funded by European Union.
