Luciana Rizzo (b. 1990) is a sound artist and musician. Lives and works in Buenos Aires. Studied Composition with Electroacoustic Media at the National University of Quilmes. As a drummer since the age of 16, she found her place in experimentation and improvisation as a language. She has played in various group projects and, concurrently, began developing a solo set based on hybrid drums, samples, and field recordings that move between songs, environments, and improvisations. Lately, she has been dedicated to producing sound documentaries and radio pieces.
Feedbacks are wild sounds. They can’t be fully controlled. They need a margin of risk to exist. That margin has to do with the atmosphere, concentration and being present. I’m interested in taking on that risk. Playing with the edges.
This solo set consists of little bells, jingles, and feedback produced using the drum bodies as resonant membranes. It is an acoustic set aiming to broaden the audience’s listening experience.

The Handover is a critically acclaimed trio from Egypt/Norway/Belgium, playing hypnotic, trance-inducing music, inspired by the ritual rhythms of the Egyptian countryside, combined with a good dose of psychedelic improvisation, kraut riffs and experimental sounds. Their eponymous record put out by the American cult label Sublime Frequencies (April 2024) has been dubbed one of the best releases on the label. Their second album is set to release in 2026. Since the founding of the band in 2023, the Handover have established themselves as a phenomenal live act and have played over 50 concerts in 10 countries. Highlights include Berlin Jazzfest, WOMEX, Oslo World, Summer Bummer Festival, BRDCST Festival, Baignade Sauvage, ReWire, and Counterflows. On stage the trio sits in a tight circle to facilitate the almost telepathic communication between the musicians, and a performance by the Handover is one stretch, a long build-up from meditative drones to an ecstatic climax of exuberant dance rhythms.
