Franz Hautzinger<\/strong> (Trompete) & Daniel Lercher<\/strong> (Elektronik)<\/p>\n

Franz Hautzinger und Daniel Lercher sind prominente Protagonisten der experimentellen und improvisierten Musikszene. Hautzinger ist f\u00fcr sein innovatives Trompetenspiel und seine klanglichen Experimente bekannt, w\u00e4hrend Lercher sich durch seine elektroakustischen Arbeiten und Klanginstallationen auszeichnet. Hautzingers minimalistische Trompetenkl\u00e4nge haben etwas Hypnotisches und schaffen oft \u00fcberraschende Kontraste in Verbindung mit elektronischen Elementen. Lercher bringt mit seiner Expertise in Klangkunst und Field Recordings eine spannende, texturale Tiefe in die Musik. Das erste gemeinsame Konzert der zwei Musiker fand 2012 statt & nun gibt es nach langer Zeit wieder einmal die M\u00f6glichkeit die beiden im Duo zu h\u00f6ren.<\/p>\n

Daniel Lercher<\/strong>, 1983 in der Steiermark geboren, lebt und arbeitet als Musiker, Komponist und Klangk\u00fcnstler in Wien.
\nEr ist Absolvent des Lehrgangs f\u00fcr Computermusik und elektronische Medien am Institut f\u00fcr Komposition und Elektroakustik
\nan der Universit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Lerchers Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind elektroakustische Komposition\/Improvisation, Live-Elektronik, Phonographie, Installationen, Musik f\u00fcr Tanz & Film, etc. Die Liste seiner Aktivit\u00e4ten umfasst zahlreiche Konzerte, Installationen und Residenzen auf vier Kontinenten. Er arbeitet mit zahlreichen Musiker\u00b0innen und K\u00fcnstler\u00b0innen aus verschiedenen Disziplinen zusammen. Seine Musik, entweder solo oder in Zusammenarbeit, wurde auf mehr als 20 Ver\u00f6ffentlichungen publiziert. https:\/\/lercher.klingt.org<\/a><\/p>\n

Franz Hautzinger<\/strong>,Komponist und Interpret zeitgen\u00f6ssischer und improvisierter Musik. Studierte Trompete und Komposition an der Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz und am Konservatorium der Stadt Wien. 1989-2008 Lehrauftrag f\u00fcr Ensembleleitung, Strukturanalyse, Komposition und Arrangement an der Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien (ab 2001 Universit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Musik wien). (Gast-)Solist zahlreicher Ensembles, Kooperationspartner international renommierter K\u00fcnstler (u. a. Elliott Sharp, Gil Evans, Sainkho Namtchylak, Ensemble Zeitkratzer Berlin, John Cale, Christian Fennesz, Yoshihide Otomo, Phil Niblock, Klaus \u00d6hring, Radu Malfatti, Christian Wolf, Joachim K\u00fchn, Derek Bailey, Klangforum Wien) und Leiter eigener Projekte („Franz Hautzinger Speakers Corner“, „Dachte Musik“, „Regenorchester“, Gomberg). Zahlreiche Studienreisen und Konzerttourneen f\u00fchrten ihn u.a. nach Indien, die USA, Russland, Mexiko, Nepal, England, Bulgarien, Frankreich, Australien, Neuseeland, Deutschland und Estland. Imagine That Light Is A Fish<\/strong> was conceived as a live performance, commissioned by Radio free FM in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg. It was premiered in December 2023 at Stadthaus Ulm, for a live audience as well for as listeners tuning into the broadcast. At its core Imagine… is a meta-radio piece: Realized for radio, it utilizes radio as instrumentation and live sound source, while using archival radio documentary voiceovers for its narrative text. The text material was found on old cassettes, the unknown owner of which had recorded hundreds of hours of radio documentaries \u2013 nature, science, fiction, education, economics \u2013 a dizzying and labyrinthine collection. The tapes were aged, warped, de-magnetized by moisture, heat, and time. They were our damaged time-travellers, and this is the story they told. Imagine That Light Is A Fish is an absurdity, the snake eating its tale. Straight from the human cavity \u2013 the ultimate black hole \u2013 the great Cosmic Mouth sings its tune!<\/p>\n

Pareidolia<\/strong> is Liz Allbee and Marta Zapparoli. With their duo the two artists investigate the radical extremes of scale, presence and absence \u2013 sounding phenomenon which usually lies beyond the human threshold of perception and re-configuring the relationship of instrument and performer in space. In addition to their solo practices and numerous collaborations, the two joined together in 2016 to form Pareidolia. In the spirit of inquiry, and through the combination of their very different materials and methodologies, they sought to open a space of experimentalism which embraces compositional\/conceptual strategies utilizing improvisation, performance, and text. Marta works with self-built antennas, world-wide radio receivers, SDR, detectors, and tapes.Liz works with spatialized self-designed trumpet, voice and electronics. Pareidolia is quadraphonic. Allbee & Zapparoli have been part of the experimental music community of Berlin for over 15 years, and have performed solo or in various configurations at such festivals as CTM, A L\u2019arme, NEXT, Wien Modern, Darmstadt, Maerzmusik, Donaueschingen, LEM, Meteo, Berlin JazzFest, Borealis and at places such as Akademie der K\u00fcnste, DAAD Gallery and Berghain, among many others. Their previous work Enantiodromia found the two immersed in the inversion of dichotomies, bouncing signals off of the moon, relating text to the electromagnetic body, and as always, holding space for the revelations of uncertainty. Their newest work Imagine that Light is a Fish is a documentary collage about time travel, black holes, vibration, voice and the great Cosmic Mouth.<\/p>\n

Liz Allbee<\/strong> is a composer-performer & improviser who works with the imaginarchic potential of sonic material. She performs on self-designed quadraphonic trumpet, electronics, trumpet and voice. Her work encompasses electro-acoustic composition, song writing, spatialization and instrument creation, with an ear towards embodiment and extension.
\nShe has appeared at venues and festivals including Wien Modern, Maerzmusik, Donaueschingen, Darmstadt, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, CTM, Berlin JazzFest, Berghain, Goethe Institutes Tokyo & S\u00e3o Paulo. She is the recipient of funding and grants from Initative Neue Musik, Musikfonds, Berlin Senat, European Network for Contemporary Audiovisual Creation, and Berlin Arbeitsstipendium, \u00c1rvore, and has been Artist-in-Residence at Cit\u00e9 International des Artes, Kunstmeile Krems, Avatar-Quebec, and STEIM, among others. Marta Zapparoli<\/strong> is an Italian sound artist, radio artist, improviser, performer, and independent researcher based in Berlin.
\nIn recent years her work mainly involves the intersection of the visible and the invisible aspects of physics \u2013 seeking to activate all the poetic and conceptual levels. She captures unique recordings of electromagnetic radiation coming from outer space and the atmosphere (Natural radio phenomena VLF ) from the energetic environment in nature \u2013 electrosmog \u2013 and radio wave communication from the technological world. The relation-contamination-confrontation dialogue between nature, our technological world in an anthropogenic age, and our lives in multiple connection with the universe, are central themes in her work. Her main instruments include a variety of antennas, radio receivers, detectors, tape recorders, and reel-to-reel-band machine. She is active in live performances, site-specific projects, and compositions since 2003. She is a member of (the 24-piece) Splitter Orchester in Berlin, Pareidolia duo, The Elks quartet, Vertigo Transport duo, and M.Z.A.L. duo, among other projects. She has performed in many highly-regarded festivals such as : A\u2019LARME!, CTM, Darmstadt, Maerzmusik, Atonal, Fusion, Borealis, High Zero, Meteo Mulhouse, ArtAct, MusraraMix, LEM, LisboaSoa, Listening Effect, and Heroines of Sound, among others. \nKurzmann hat mit verschiedenen K\u00fcnstlern aus den Bereichen Jazz, Rock und Elektronik zusammengearbeitet
\nund tritt in Gruppen wie The Magic I.D. und El Infierno Musical auf.
\nSein Interesse liegt in der elektronischen Improvisation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Ausstellung zeigt unterschiedliche installative Arbeiten und Drucke von generativen Grafiken. Das verbindende Element ist dabei das Experimentieren mit (Schall)Wellen in verschiedensten Medien, sowie die Transformation von einem Medium in das andere. Wie kann Klang in Bild oder Bewegtbild abgebildet werden? Wie verhalten sich h\u00f6rbare und unh\u00f6rbare Schwingungen in Wasser, Metall, oder als Lichtimpulse? Wie ist die gegenseitige Beeinflussung der visuellen und der auditiven Wahrnehmung? Mit diesen Fragen besch\u00e4ftigen sich die diversen multi-medialen Installationen auf unterschiedliche Weise (Klang, Video, Bild und andere Materialien).<\/p>\n
