Leichte, leise, schwebende Kl\u00e4nge von Detlev M\u00fcller-Siemens, Daniela Terranova, Toshio Hosokawa, Doina-Cezara Procopciuc und Miguel Segura-Sogorb fl\u00fcstern durch den Abend. Die Vorstellung, dass das fragile Glas zerbricht, die Gefahr, die Angst davor, es zu verlieren, spiegelt sich in der Musik von Hungkai Wen und Marco Molteni in dessen \u00fcbertriebener Intensit\u00e4t wider.<\/p>\n

Platypus<\/strong> (Ornithorhynchus anatinus) is an egg-laying mammal. Much about this resilient species is strange, inexplicable, impossible to classify, and it is precisely these enigmatic categories that interest the Platypus ensemble. Engaging with the spaces in between is what makes Platypus work and play. The musical focus that determines the ensemble’s intensive rehearsal and concert activities is the exploration in the eld of tension between di erent types of music and approaches to making music together. At the same time, the temporal and spatial aspects always play a role in the dramaturgical conception of the concerts. In a history of more than 10 years and joint activities, the Vienna-based ensemble has worked with numerous venues and festivals such as Wien Modern, Reaktor Wien, Arnold Scho\u0308nberg Center, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Musiktheatertage Wien, Imago Dei (Krems), the Festival Einhundert (Klagenfurt), the Klangspuren Festival, the London Ear Festival, the Forum Neue Musik Wallis, the Bienaldo Mu\u0301sica Hoje in Curitiba\/Brazil, the IGNM, the O\u0308GZM, sirene operntheater, the O\u0308sterreichischer Komponistenbund (O\u0308KB) and the Austrian label col legno, among others. The ensemble has played concerts in Austria and many other countries, such as Argentina, Bosnia, Brazil, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Turkey and Ukraine.
