Textures in gradual change coexisting with responsive and spontaneous\u00a0gestures create a varied\u00a0but coherent musical ecosystem which can be airy or dense,\u00a0dry or blooming. Diese Frage stellen sich die Schlagzeugerin Judith Schwarz und der Elektronikmusiker Arthur Fussy in ihrer Performance \u201eBeyond the Beat\u201c. Die Grenzen des Rhythmus auszuloten haben sie sich als Ausgangspunkt genommen und schaffen dabei eine sich immer wieder wandelnde Symbiose aus akustischen und elektronischen Kl\u00e4ngen. Weiters greift dieser Zyklus aus solistischen und kollektiven St\u00fccken Gedanken der beiden MusikerInnen auf, die sie schon lange in der gemeinsamen Arbeit begleiten. Wann erkennt das Ohr und das Bewusstsein ein Pattern? Wie abstrakt darf\/ kann es dabei zugehen, um den Zuh\u00f6renden trotzdem gen\u00fcgend Halt und Struktur zu bieten und Zusammenh\u00e4nge erkennbar zu machen? Ist Rhythmus auch Melodie? Wie weit reicht die M\u00f6glichkeit der Imitation und der Kontraste der Gegenpole Akustik und Elektronik?
