Poisonous Frequencies<\/strong> is actually a power trio, although instrumental fun and exaggeration creep into the thrilling energy of their performances. Petr Vrba<\/strong> discovers the possibilities of an electrified trumpet disguised as an electric guitar, and Tomislav Federsel<\/strong> never stops in his search for the world’s most hideous guitar sound while Didi Kern<\/strong> tries to squeeze some exquisite rhythms out of his drums! The trio teamed up with Swiss turntablist Joke Lanz<\/strong> for one recording session and couple of concerts in 2019. The cooperation worked very well and it continues again this year after a two year gap.<\/p>\n \u201eAn absolute highlight of the entire festival was the ‚headlining‘ Poisonous Frequencies trio, who’d invited Swiss turntablist Joke Lanz to guest in their improvisations. Lanz came across as a permanent member rather than a fleeting acquaintance, so in tune was he with the Frequencies.
