Aron Dahl<\/strong> is a composer, filmmaker, sound synthesist, performance artist, saxophonist and songwriter from Norway based in Los Angeles. His work is a genre defying mix of auto fiction and documentary, ambient, chamber music, field recordings, techno and nativistic pop, encompassing themes of identity, alienation, BDSM and transcendence.<\/p>\n

Lucie V\u00edtkov\u00e1<\/strong> is a composer, improviser and performer (accordion, hichiriki, synthesizer, harmonica, voice and dance) from the Czech Republic, living in New York. During their studies of composition at Jan\u00e1\u010dek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno (CZ), they have been a visiting scholar at Royal Conservatory in The Hague (NL), California Institute of the Arts in Valencia (USA), Universit\u00e4t der K\u00fcnste in Berlin (D), Columbia University in New York (USA) and at New York University. Their compositions focus on sonification (compositions based on abstract models derived from physical objects) while in their improvisation practice, Lucie works with the characteristics of discrete spaces through the interaction between sound and movement. In Lucie\u2019s recent work, they are interested in the social-political aspects of music in relation to everyday life and in reusing trash to build sonic costumes and instruments.
\nThey have been nominated for the 2017 Herb Alpert Awards in Arts in the category of Music, were commissioned by the Roulette Intermedium in 2017 and have become Roulette resident artist in 2018. They have put together two ensembles \u2013 the NYC Constellation Ensemble (focused on musical behavior) and the OPERA Ensemble (for singing instrumentalists).
\nIn their dissertation, Compositional Techniques of Christian Wolff and Social Aspects in Music, which was published in 2021, Lucie analyzed music of Christian Wolff, researching on compositional techniques which change relationships between players to reform established hierarchies in music.
\nLucie\u2019s teachers and collaborators include George Lewis, Suzanne Cusick, Ellie Hisama, Miya Masaoka, Petr Kot\u00edk, Hitomi Nakamura, Teerapat Parnmongkol, Jolana Havelkov\u00e1, Muyassar Kurdi, Haruhiko Okabe, Jaroslav \u0160\u0165astn\u00fd, Teodora Stepan\u010di\u0107, James Ilgenfritz, Stevie May, and Graham Haynes.<\/p>\n

Mona Matbou Riahi<\/strong>, was born in 1990 in Tehran. During her early years of music education she studied in \u201cTehran conservatory of music\u201d. At the age of 17, She moved to Vienna for further studies and entered the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. She has been experiencing art and music in this city as a performer-Composer-Improviser since then. Her unique approach of performing and boundless technical abilities in improvisation have mesmerized the audience internationally. Her music carries contemporary and classical elements, improvisation as well as electronic experimentation combined with extended technics and innovations in search of unheard sounds and personal language. She has been appeared on stage in different artistic formations and projects including dance, theatre and multi-media art in world-renowned festivals and concert venues.<\/p>\n
